Airborne/Air Delivery Specialist (Parachute Rigger)

This position supports MARSOC at Stone Bay, Camp Lejeune, NC.

About the role

The Airborne/Air Delivery Specialist (Parachute Rigger) shall maintain, repair, pack, and inspect personnel, cargo parachute systems, oxygen equipment, and ancillary equipment in accordance with applicable Technical Manuals. Maintenance requirements include preventative and corrective maintenance as well as modifications and calibrations. Responsibilities include using AIS such as GCSS-MC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, pack, and inspect personnel and cargo parachute systems, oxygen equipment, and ancillary equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, modifications, and calibrations.
• Use AIS such as GCSS-MC.
• Support occasional off-site (CONUS) training and parachute operations.
• Obtain an operator’s license for non-tactical/tactical Government-owned equipment/vehicles, as required.

Requirements

• Hold a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rating of Senior or Master Rigger.
• Familiar with USMC/tactical parachute equipment.
• Graduate of the US Army (Joint) Parachute Rigger Course (in accordance with MCO 3120.11A).
• 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent and six years of relevant, progressive experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Sufficient mobility, including bending, reaching, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties efficiently.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, supplies, or files up to 50 lbs.

• Strong organizational skills to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.
• Ability to interface effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Must not pose a safety hazard to other employees in the work area.
• Must be able to relinquish dual citizenship (if applicable) to obtain a US government security clearance.

Physical Requirements

• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods.
• Frequent use of phone, PC, or laptop.
• Filing required.
• Operation of non-tactical and/or tactical Government-owned equipment.
• Use of general office equipment, including telephone, fax machine, copier, and other work-related tools.

Schedule

Standard core working hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Depending on operational demands, the position may require night and weekend work. Must be able to work at least 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, with flexibility to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Pay

$60,000 per year.
