About the role

This position involves controlling air traffic under both visual and instrument flight rules, receiving, posting, and relaying flight data, performing ground control duties, and coordinating aircraft movements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide research and information to coordinate plans and actions with pilots or other controllers.
  • Use systems like Airspace Information Center (AIC) to perform controller duties under instruction.

Requirements

  • Conditions of employment include background investigation, drug screening, and pre-employment physical.
  • Must have ATCS certification and a secret clearance.
  • Must have actively controlled traffic in an Air Traffic Control Tower facility within the last 36 months.
  • Must complete a pre-employment drug test and periodic flight medical exams.
  • Must meet the qualifications outlined in the Qualifications section.
