Air Quality Project Manager - Environmental Services (Multiple Locations)

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Air Quality Project Manager to manage air permitting and compliance services for the power, industrial, commercial, transportation, and manufacturing industries. Responsibilities

• Prepare air permit application packages and associated documentation.
• Conduct environmental site assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal air quality requirements.
• Calculate and estimate routine emissions, greenhouse gases, maintenance, start-up, and shutdown emissions.
• Work with clients and team members to manage projects, budgets, and timelines.
• Assist with multi-media-based questions and document preparation, such as Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, and filings pursuant to the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA).
• Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related Science or Engineering degree from an accredited program plus a minimum of 7 years (10 years preferred) of applicable experience.
• Completion of a master's degree in a related field may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
• Previous consulting experience related to air pollution permitting and compliance and/or multimedia environmental compliance audits, environmental management systems, and report writing preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local air regulations with emphasis on the Clean Air Act, including New Source Review/Prevention of Significant Deterioration, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants, New Source Performance Standards, Title V Permitting, and Title VI Ozone Depleting Substances.
• Working knowledge of air quality dispersion models such as AERMOD, AERSCREEN, CALPUFF, VISCREEN, PLUVUE, and SLAB is a plus.
• Sustainability background is a plus.
• Ability to clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex requests.
• Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay

$130,000.00 - $310,000.00 yearly. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
