Air Freight Specialist

About the role

Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking an Air Freight Specialist to join their International Logistics & Customer Support team in Arcadia, Wisconsin. This role plays a critical part in Ashley's global supply chain, coordinating international air freight shipments from origin to final destination.

Responsibilities

• Cook up and track international air shipments from origin to final destination across global routes
• Work boundarylessly with internal teams, international vendors, customs brokers, and freight carriers to ensure seamless movement of products from origin to destination
• Provide accurate customs clearance information to ensure timely and effective clearance
• Monitor and prioritize shipments imperative for production needs or market deadlines
• Manage purchase orders and delivery coordination
• Support export operations including documentation compilation, communication with vendors/offices at origin, and determining payment information as needed for international transactions
• Lead training and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of office support, clerical, or administrative work experience
• Some college coursework or equivalent work experience preferred
