Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and test lab resources to maximize data collection needed to support on-time project completion.
- Communicate test plans and resource needs with test lab management according to engineering goals and priority.
- Reinforce test instructions to test operators, troubleshoot and solve problems found during testing, and relay issues for engineering technical support as needed.
- Monitor test progress, screen test measurements, and evaluate accuracy and effectiveness of test data collected.
- Own resolution of data acquisition issues with support of the test lab.
- Execute test setup, instrumentation, modifications, and repairs to minimize down time gaps in test data collection.
- Cook up coordination between departments to design, build, and modify components, sub-systems, and chillers for testing purposes.
- Manage engineering inventory of prototype chillers, spare parts, tools, and instrumentation.
- Arrange for procurement and fabrication of necessary parts.
- Identify needed parts and facilitate orders from various appropriate vendors.
- Understand, guide, and improve our testing related processes, tools, and systems.
- Continuously increase expertise in product knowledge, applications, design theory, and strategy.
- Generate technical documents to capture status, test procedures, change logs, and best practices for use by other technicians, engineers, and test operators on future test plans.
- Connect with test engineers through regular 1 on 1 individual meetings as well as participation in product engineering team meetings.
Requirements
- Required: 3+ years of experience with HVAC products or service related experience.
- Technical/Associates Degree or equivalent with a mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing focus.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel or equivalent data analysis tools.
- Interest in learning fluid, thermal, and refrigeration system principles and how they are applied in commercial equipment.
Preferred
- Chiller industry experience.
- Programming experience.
- Experience with using an MRP system (SAP, MAPICS, or equivalent).
Qualifications
- Candidates must be US Citizens and/or Permanent Resident of the United States.
- Sponsorship is not available.
Skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data analysis tools.
- Understanding of fluid, thermal, and refrigeration system principles.

Pay
Hiring hourly range: $65,000 - $85,000 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
