Responsibilities

  • Perform start-up, preventive and corrective maintenance within the assigned territory.
  • Troubleshoot, repair all components and brands of air compressors.
  • Use multimeters, amp meters, vibration and infrared meters.
  • Read and comprehend P&I drawings, ID/GA drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes, cleaning and setting controls.
  • Safely remove and reinstall motors, compressors and associated components.
  • Set up rigging equipment and safely remove and reinstall motors, compressors and associated components.
  • Use hand tools and power tools such as drill motors, grinders, band saws, etc.
  • Understand hydraulic and pneumatic principles and components.
  • Know different types of piping such as types of copper, black, aluminum and galvanized.
  • Thread, sweat, braze and weld as needed.
  • Bend and install control tubing such as 1/4" and 5/16" Stainless Steel tubing.
  • Provide on-call response during assigned week.

Requirements

  • 2 - 5 years electrical/mechanical industrial experience.
  • Knowledge of customer equipment operations, able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Able to correctly troubleshoot, repair all components and brands of air compressors.
  • Able to properly use multimeters, amp meters, vibration and infrared meters.
  • Able to successfully perform the above while meeting the Company and Customer’s safety requirements.
  • EPA certifications with Freon experience a plus.
  • Excellent driving record and able to drive service van or pickup truck.

Qualifications

  • ELECTRICAL KNOWLEDGE: Skilled in troubleshooting 120V control circuits.
  • Able to read and comprehend wiring diagrams.
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair single phase and 3Phase motor control circuits up to 480V, such as full voltage, reduced voltage and soft starters as well as 3 phase and single phase motor troubleshooting.
  • Able to properly use multimeters, ampmeters and infared meters.
  • Able to successfully perform the above while meeting the Company and Customer’s safety requirements.
  • Mechanical Knowledge: Read and comprehend P&I drawings.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various air compressor control components.
  • Able to perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, cleaning and setting controls.
  • Safely remove and reinstall motors, compressors and associated components.
  • Perform motor alignments.
  • Able to safely use all hand tools and power tools such as drill motors, grinders, band saws, etc.
  • Understand hydraulic and pneumatic principles and components.
  • Know different types of piping such as types of copper, black and galvanized.
  • Thread, sweat, braze and weld as needed.
  • Bend and install control tubing such as 1/4" and 5/16" Stainless Steel tubing.
