About the role

Primary Job Role responsible for the promotion, sales, and rental of new and used air compressor products and accessories. The sales territory covers an agreed upon area between the A/C Sales Business Manager and Sales Representative. Responsible for maintaining and growing parts and service business working closely with the Air Compressor Service Supervisor in their assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Make regular sales, rental and service calls to existing customers including but not limited to engineers, mechanical contractors, general contractors, utilities, manufacturing plants and any other compressor user
  • Perform regular "cold calls" on potential customers to expand existing customer base
  • Maintain a 30 day schedule to maximize time and territory management
  • Input all active rental, sale and parts/service quotes into CRM for tracking purposes and move them through won, lost or dead designation
  • Promote various divisions and products, forwarding leads to appropriate contact person
  • Maintain a competitive assessment of all competitors in territory including both strengths and weaknesses
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or certification equivalent in a related field of study
  • 3-4 years of experience
  • Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers

Preferred skills

  • Outside rental or sales experience
  • Knowledge of the air compressor industry
  • Familiar with Office 365, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
