Air Cargo Ramp Supervisor, KJAX

About the role

The Cargo Warehouse Ramp Supervisor oversees marshaling in and pushing back aircraft, operates GSE, loads and unloads cargo, transports cargo, receives, delivers, and handles freight and company materials. Key responsibilities include ensuring on-time departures, managing operations, and maintaining compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor employee work to ensure customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality, and employee relations meet standards.
• Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation.
• Administer practices fairly and equitably, treating all employees, customers, vendors, and third parties with respect.
• Operate motorized vehicles as part of the operation.
• Routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, equipment, and facilities with or without powered equipment.
• Other duties and functions related to the cargo operation.

Requirements

• Ability to read, interpret documents, write reports, speak effectively, add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, percents, interpret graphs, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Cognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment.
• Handle stress.
• Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds.
• Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.

Qualifications

• Prefer Associates's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Prefer 1 year of management experience and 1 year of cargo in the aviation industry.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be in good standing with the company in order to apply.
