About the Role

The Supervisor Ramp & Passenger Services manages, coordinates, and controls airport activities for both Ramp Services and Passenger Service functions. This role monitors the quantity and quality of work performance, directs personnel, oversees staffing requirements, and participates in discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring, and termination of subordinates. The position ensures compliance with company rules, standards, and contractual agreements while maintaining budgetary controls and manning requirements.

This role may include communication between Airport Board officials and individual customers. The supervisor proactively monitors assigned employees to ensure customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality, and employee relations meet or exceed standards. They maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation, ensuring company audit requirements are met for continuity and compliance.

Ramp Service Functions

• Loading and unloading cargo (mail, express, baggage, freight, and company material) on and off aircraft.
• Transporting cargo between terminals and aircraft, including ramp transfers where required.
• Receiving, delivering, and physically handling freight, company material, export at designated express docks, mail, and baggage in the outbound baggage room.
• Completing forms and messages related to the performance of the functions described.
• Cleaning and servicing cabin interiors, including cockpit and lavatories; draining lavatories.
• Checking, handling, assembling, removing, and installing passenger service cabin furnishings and supplies; transporting such items to and from aircraft.
• Assisting in loading, unloading, and racking both filled and empty drums.
• De-icing aircraft, cleaning aircraft windshields, pushing/towing aircraft, and related guide man functions.
• Connecting/removing ground power and ground start units.
• Cleaning the exterior of aircraft with specialized cleaning fluids.
• Performing routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities with or without powered equipment.
• Assisting in monitoring security of the facility.
• Performing routine automotive repair, servicing, and cleaning of powered and unpowered equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of airport operations, including ticketing transactions, baggage check-in, issuing boarding passes, and dispatching flights in a safe and timely manner.
• Handle baggage service functions, including filing loss, damage, and pilferage claims.
• Offer efficient and professional customer service and resolve passenger problems as required.
• Coordinate with all departments (catering, fueling, maintenance) to ensure operational needs are met.
• Act as company representative when assigned.
• Report to work on a regular and timely basis.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Compute rates, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays, and days off.
• Willing to work beyond standard hours during peak times; overtime eligible per law.
