About the Role

You will support senior members of the team and the portfolio managers in research and analyzing our existing investments and investment opportunities. You must have the desire to learn from others on the team as well as search out other relevant learning opportunities. You need strong analytic and communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial markets and investment principles. You will report to the AIM Associate – Investment Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering and analyzing data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Developing and maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and other analytical tools to support data analysis and reporting.
  • Conducting research and analysis: collecting and analyzing financial data and economic trends on existing investments as well as to identify potential investment opportunities and assess the financial health of investments.
  • Assisting senior analysts and portfolio managers: supporting senior analysts and portfolio managers in conducting research, preparing reports, and modeling investment strategies to assist in making investment decisions.
  • Training to understand our investment systems, investment flow, and general financial services knowledge.
  • Providing support for ad-hoc projects and requests as needed.
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources with a focus on calibrating generative AI models built on structured data.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience required: relevant internship or work experience in the financial industry.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, MIS, or related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, driven for solutions.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.

Pay

Job posting range: $56,000 - $93,500. Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. If hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
