About the Role

The Clinical Coordinator (CC)/Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) is responsible for coordinating clinical activities within the Wound Care Center. This includes patient care assessment, planning, implementation, and quality improvement. The role collaborates with the Program Director and Medical Director to meet program objectives, ensure optimal healing outcomes, and enhance patient satisfaction. All clinicians must adhere to Healogics policies, hospital policies, accrediting organizations, federal and state regulations, and CMS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in all responsibilities related to case management, including patient assessments, procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education.
• Organize and prioritize clinical responsibilities, providing oversight to clinical staff such as RNs, LPNs/LVNs, CMAs, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Technicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, hospital personnel, Wound Care Center Providers, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinical and patient needs.
• Identify and implement process improvements while complying with HIPAA, DOH, hospital, and Healogics requirements.
• Engage in staff development through in-services, individual instruction, orientation, and recognition.
• Collaborate with the Program Director on budgetary and financial aspects of program objectives.
• Coordinate vein clinic services and provide care after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training, if applicable.
• Work with the Program Director and Medical Director to achieve Wound Care Center quality indicators.
• Function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics and hospital policies.
• Perform hyperbaric safety director duties, chamber operations, or emergency chamber operations after completing required training.
• Provide direct patient care based on Center staffing needs.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Current RN (Registered Nurse) license, maintained throughout employment.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• One year of experience as an RN required; two or more years preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Wound care certification preferred.
