Aide, Dietary
Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Dietary Aide (Union) to join our team. As a Partner for Good, you’ll help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
About the role
The Dietary Aide performs a variety of patient food service, cafeteria food service, dish room duties, catered tasks, and other related tasks. You will provide exceptional customer service while supporting our dietary operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient food service, including meal delivery and tray assembly
- Support cafeteria food service operations
- Perform dish room duties, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment
- Assist with catered events and related tasks
- Perform simple cash transactions
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors
- Apply knowledge of age-related growth and development principles to ensure patient safety and appropriate service
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred (not required)
- Food service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
- ServSafe certification is a plus (will be offered after hire if needed)
Schedule
FTE 0.35 (14 hours per week) with variable start times, evenings, and every other weekend.
