About the role
Aquatech is seeking a full-time Assembler to join our Canonsburg, PA team. This position is non-exempt and requires a high sense of awareness in the workplace, prioritizing safety, and having basic knowledge of tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Able to read mechanical drawings (knowledge of piping a plus)
- Strong math skills (working with both fractions and metrics)
- Attention to detail (work demands high tolerances, fit, and finish)
- Ability to problem solve (interpreting drawings and spatial relationships)
- Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision
- Ability to demonstrate mechanical skills such as: use of power tools, measuring tools, and hand tools
- Maintain a positive attitude, communicate well with others, and be an effective team member
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Takes appropriate measures to ensure safety in the workplace
- Attends monthly safety meetings as required
- Notifies manager immediately (within 24 hours) of workplace injuries and ensures appropriate policies and procedures are followed
- Reports potential safety hazards immediately to the manager
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) or more years’ experience working in a mechanical and industrial environment
Skills
- Mechanical aptitude in an industrial work environment
- Welding experience (plus)
- Electrical experience (plus)
