AIC - Shop Assembler

About the role

Aquatech is seeking a full-time Assembler to join our Canonsburg, PA team. This position is non-exempt and requires a high sense of awareness in the workplace, prioritizing safety, and having basic knowledge of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Able to read mechanical drawings (knowledge of piping a plus)
• Strong math skills (working with both fractions and metrics)
• Attention to detail (work demands high tolerances, fit, and finish)
• Ability to problem solve (interpreting drawings and spatial relationships)
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision
• Ability to demonstrate mechanical skills such as: use of power tools, measuring tools, and hand tools
• Maintain a positive attitude, communicate well with others, and be an effective team member
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Takes appropriate measures to ensure safety in the workplace
• Attends monthly safety meetings as required
• Notifies manager immediately (within 24 hours) of workplace injuries and ensures appropriate policies and procedures are followed
• Reports potential safety hazards immediately to the manager
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) or more years’ experience working in a mechanical and industrial environment

Skills

• Mechanical aptitude in an industrial work environment
• Welding experience (plus)
• Electrical experience (plus)
