About the Role

At HonorHealth, the AI Trainer owns the human side of the organization's AI rollout: turning powerful tools into confident, safe, and productive daily habits. This hands-on enablement role focuses on designing and delivering tiered curriculum, running live sessions and office hours, building a self-serve learning library, and cultivating a network of departmental champions. The AI Trainer ensures adoption, governance, and enablement move as one coordinated program, with a strong emphasis on responsible and compliant use in a healthcare environment, including HIPAA considerations and safe data-handling practices.

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Design and Training Delivery:
    • Build a tiered curriculum (beginner through power-user) to develop AI proficiency across the organization.
    • Develop role-based training paths for clinicians, analysts, operations managers, and other roles.
    • Deliver live training sessions, recorded modules, quick-reference guides, and maintain a curated prompt library.
    • Run recurring office hours and drop-in sessions to unblock users and reinforce learning.
    • Create clear, engaging learning materials tailored to users' current skill levels.
  • Wave-Based Adoption and User Enablement:
    • Onboard each Wave cohort with a structured ramp: kickoff, hands-on sessions, follow-up, and reinforcement.
    • Track adoption progress and intervene where usage stalls or confidence lags.
    • Capture and share internal success stories to build momentum for later Waves.
    • Support end-user adoption through practical guidance, examples, coaching materials, and usage recommendations.
    • Help users understand where AI adds value, where human review is required, and where escalation is necessary.
  • Champions Network Development:
    • Identify, train, and support a network of departmental AI champions to extend enablement efforts.
    • Equip champions with materials, talking points, and a feedback channel.
    • Coordinate regular champion check-ins to share best practices and address challenges.
    • Recognize and celebrate champion contributions to build engagement and program visibility.
  • Responsible Use and Compliance Integration:
    • Teach safe data-handling practices with clear guidance on PHI, HIPAA, and appropriate use of AI tools.
    • Partner with Information Security to translate governance policy into practical user guidance.
    • Integrate responsible-AI practices into every training module.
    • Reinforce human review requirements, scope limits, and role clarity in all AI-supported work.
  • Measurement, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement:
    • Define and track enablement metrics: active usage, feature adoption, session attendance, satisfaction scores, and self-reported productivity gains.
    • Use adoption data and user feedback to refine content and target underperforming areas.
    • Report progress and insights to program leadership regularly.
    • Maintain living documentation to ensure the enablement system evolves with the team and tools.
    • Work closely with the AI Director and Program Manager to align enablement, communications, and governance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
