AI Systems & Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in and lead business process re-engineering efforts using systems engineering and lean practices, including kaizen, continuous improvement cycles, risk management, process mapping, and cross-domain functional architecture design.
• Design, develop, and implement AI-enabled applications and tools based on defined requirements, collaborating heavily with Process Excellence, SME, End User, and IT teams.
• Lead rapid development cycles and guide junior developers and interns in building applications using AI-assisted coding tools.
• Evaluate and implement AI development tools, frameworks, and workflows to improve speed and quality of development.
• Manage development standards including version control, testing and deployment approaches, and documentation practices.
• Define system architectures including data models, APIs, front-end/back-end structures, and AI/LLM integrations.
• Serve as primary interface to IT for process re-engineering and solutions-focused initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
• Strong experience building full-stack applications, APIs, and AI-enabled solutions for enterprise business systems.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern development frameworks.
• Familiarity with rapid development using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar).
• Experience integrating AI/ML models into applications.
• Strong debugging, testing, and code optimization skills.
• Strong understanding of data models, system integration, and application workflows.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with system integration across enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, data systems, etc.).
• Knowledge of API security, authentication (OAuth, tokens), and data flows.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Experience with version control systems (Git-based workflows).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and experience deploying and maintaining production applications.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and validation practices.
• Knowledge of application security principles and best practices.
• Understanding of data governance, risk, and compliance considerations.
• Experience documenting systems and maintaining development standards.
