This is a leadership position in the Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAIO) team. Our primary objective is to lead and drive transformational AI efforts across STT’s processes and functions; partner with business and technology teams to design and implement transformational AI across people, process, and technology.

About the Role

As a member of the CDAIO Team, the incumbent will partner with technology teams, third parties, and stakeholders across different business teams, corporate functions, and regions to identify opportunities. They will work with business units and various stakeholders to design and implement transformational Artificial Intelligence using world-class tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Data & AI Strategy
    • Lead and partner with business leads to design, assess, and address strategic opportunities: from framing up-front work plans to crafting and executing on the analyses and steps outlined in those plans.
    • Identify high-value opportunities by understanding what drives value for clients and a particular business unit or functional area.
    • Translate strategy into clear product-aligned roadmaps that support the design of an end-state relying on the latest AI offerings.
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of business processes, functions, teams, and incumbent technology.
  • Product & Portfolio Management and Execution Tracking
    • Drive rollout and deployment of “self-service” technology platforms to enable faster adoption of AI capabilities.
    • Anchor all phases and aspects of AI opportunity identification, such as data and requirements gathering (e.g., user stories), baselining, root cause analysis, quantitative and qualitative analysis, data modeling, and future state AI designs.
    • Support the creation of technology MVPs that align with business and technology outcomes.
    • Assess the feasibility and drive the AI strategy, including all aspects of automation, AI, and ML across STT’s footprint.
    • Conduct core project management activities including facilitating meetings, interviewing stakeholders, hosting workshops, documenting findings, and creating stakeholder presentations.
    • Enable detailed evaluation of proposed solutions/changes by creating business case details: cost vs. benefits, ROI, and tradeoffs (build vs. buy).
  • Executive & Client (Internal & External) Communication
    • Liaise with Investor Relations to proactively support the CDAIO strategy and address key questions.
    • Create materials required to support future state socialization and execution (e.g., strategy presentations, detailed requirement and process flow diagrams, job aids, POCs).
  • Portfolio Governance
    • Ensure our delivery team has the highest likelihood of success and all risks are managed by demonstrating consistent and proactive ownership of assigned responsibilities for standard work products, version control, model lifecycle, and quality control.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and develop a global team (1-5) to capture and express AI strategy execution and requirements & design in business services by fostering a culture of precision, clarity, strong execution discipline, and high-quality output.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience.
  • AI Capability & Product Management experience.
  • Business Consulting experience leading large-scale implementation programs in consulting or financial services industry.
  • Business Process Re-Engineering – Workflow, AI & Process Automation experience (from current state through target state and implementation).
  • Knowledge of AI/automation technologies and/or a master’s degree will be an added advantage.

Skills

  • Experience with strategy, product management, or portfolio leadership and support.
  • Strong background in data platforms and data strategy, as well as AI/ML and Generative AI.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work well with teams, particularly those that span different reporting lines, cut across multiple functions, and geographies.
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Ability to build stakeholder networks, effective collaboration and partnership capabilities, and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and proven experience working with large cross-functional teams.

Pay

Salary Range: $120,000 - $217,500 Annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location, the applicable range could differ.
