Position Description CGI Federal is seeking a highly qualified IT professional to support its enterprise AI initiatives. This role ensures successful deployment, operation, maintenance, and governance of AI technology platforms. In addition, the specialist will support SSA software developers by enabling AI assisted development workflows across multiple programming languages and tools. Responsibilities include infrastructure administration, user assistance, documentation, developer guidance, and adherence to governance frameworks. ***This role is ideal for candidates who are local and willing to work onsite 5 days a week at the client site in Woodlawn, MD*** Your future duties and responsibilities AI Software Licensing Management and AI Infrastructure Support Procure, track, and manage licenses for AI related tools and software. Configure and maintain servers, storage, and network components for AI workloads. Monitor system performance, availability, and security posture. Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies; conduct routine patching and upgrades. - Recommend infrastructure scaling as AI usage grows. AI Software Development & Developer Enablement Support Provide hands on support for AI assisted software development across SSA's diverse programming environments. Assist SSA developers in using AI coding assistants and AI development tools to improve productivity and code quality. Guide developers on integrating AI capabilities into applications and optimizing workflows using AI tools. Stay current with emerging AI development frameworks, tools, and best practices. Experience in one or more AI Coding Tools Used in Modern Software Development including, but not limited to: Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Gemini Code Assist End User Support and documentation for AI Tools Deliver user training and prepare instructional guides on AI tools and coding assistants. Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and configuration guides. Produce and update user manuals, FAQs, and training materials, including documentation for AI coding tools. Maintain SOPs for AI system operations, security, data management, and user support. Governance and Compliance Support creation of governance frameworks aligned with federal regulations and SSA policies. Define and operationalize roles and responsibilities within the AI ecosystem. Train staff on SOPs and governance processes. Produce reports on AI usage, activity statistics, and code metrics. Deliver quarterly reporting on measurable value gained through AI adoption. Submit weekly status reports and participate in recurring SSA meetings. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role Ability to obtain and maintain US Public Trust Clearance Bachelor's Degree + 7 years experience Experience administering AI supporting infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, cloud). Hands on experience with AI software development and AI coding assistants. Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, software licensing frameworks, and configuration management. Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, software, and user environments. Experience with technical documentation and governance frameworks. Desired qualifications/non essential skills required: Prior experience supporting government agencies and knowledge of FedRamp compliance Prior experience implementing AI COTS products at government agencies. Experience in regulated environments requiring strict documentation discipline. Familiarity with AI/ML operational pipelines and lifecycle management. Industry certifications such as ITIL, Security+, or Cloud+. CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $176,300.00.
