About the role

As a Product Manager 2, you will own delivery outcomes for one or more internal products or a defined major capability. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to translate business needs into well-defined, shippable solutions. You will be accountable for backlog quality, day-to-day prioritization, and ensuring delivered features achieve intended business outcomes. From day one, you will operate with clear ownership over a product backlog and roadmap execution, partnering with design, engineering, and business stakeholders in a complex professional services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with partners to create product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and translate business priorities into sequenced delivery plans.
  • Own and manage the product backlog for a single product or major capability, including writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritizing features based on business value and resource constraints.
  • Apply domain expertise to design and develop highly specialized analytics tools and products for niche business areas.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to guide the development of complex, business-specific solutions.
  • Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to understand business needs, requirements, and user pain points.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on product progress, risks, and upcoming milestones.
  • Support training and enablement efforts to ensure successful product adoption.
  • Identify delivery risks and work with partners to define mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful feature delivery.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify strategic opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Analyze product metrics and user feedback to inform prioritization and continuous improvement.
  • Manage product backlogs, write detailed user stories, and prioritize features based on business value and resource constraints.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, manage integrations, and provide input on buy-vs-build decisions.
  • Monitor emerging technologies to identify applications for business problems.
  • Coordinate with external partners for outsourced development initiatives.
  • Implement and refine product development methodologies to improve delivery processes.

AI/Automation specialization

  • Support delivery of AI-enabled or automation solutions by translating business workflows into clear product requirements.
  • Partner with engineering, data, and business stakeholders to define AI use cases, success metrics, and acceptance criteria.
  • Assist in the evaluation of automation opportunities by assessing feasibility, risks, and expected business impact.
  • Ensure AI-enabled features align with firm standards, governance, and responsible AI guidelines.
  • Monitor performance and adoption of AI-enabled features to inform prioritization and continuous improvement.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of product management frameworks and Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze product metrics and user feedback to inform prioritization and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, operations, change management).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and drive alignment at the product level.
  • Familiarity with common product and delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Smartsheets, or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in product management or a closely related role, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Experience owning delivery for a major capability, including backlog management and day-to-day prioritization.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience creating and maintaining product roadmaps and sequencing work based on business priorities and constraints.

Preferred qualifications

  • Professional certifications in one or more domains (Tax, Audit, Advisory, Internal Services).
  • Prior experience working within professional services or internal enterprise product environments.
  • Exposure to vendor-supported or outsourced development models.
  • Experience supporting product adoption and change management for internal users.
  • Exposure to analytics, automation, AI, or data-driven solutions applied to business problems.
  • Experience working across multiple workstreams or stakeholder groups within a single product area.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
