About the Role

Drives initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the engineering function and collaborates with other functions to ensure effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative alignment. The role operates within operational policy objectives and requires a high degree of operational judgment to achieve desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage cross-functional, technology-driven, or product-related programs.
  • Oversee budgets and act as the interface between contractors, suppliers, customers, and internal functions.
  • Manage program resources, budget allocation, and integration.
  • Oversee schedule, budget, and tollgate processes for NPI (New Product Introduction), requirements, or sustaining programs.
  • Influence programs to meet customer CTQs (Critical-to-Quality).
  • Develop strategies for the area of responsibility, including resource control and policy formulation.
  • Evaluate internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Stay informed about industry trends that may inform work.
  • Use judgment to make decisions and solve complex operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering tasks.
  • Assess the quality of provided information and ask relevant questions to stakeholders.
  • Propose new solutions for problems outside established parameters and develop recommendations.
  • Use multiple internal and some external sources to make decisions.
  • Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, or moderate complexity.
  • Communicate complex concepts and influence others' perspectives on specific topics.
  • Guide others to adopt alternative viewpoints.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in a comparable role.
  • Knowledge level equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Documented project management skills.

Pay

For candidates applying to a U.S.-based position, the pay range is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. Bonus eligibility includes a discretionary annual bonus.
