AI Product Manager
About the role
The Product Manager will own and drive the product vision and roadmap for AI-enabled capabilities in support of Lazard's advisory and asset management platforms. This role will focus on applying AI selectively and responsibly to complex, high value problems, with a strong emphasis on quality, governance, and long-term client impact.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the product vision and roadmap for AI-enabled capabilities in support of Lazard's advisory and asset management platforms.
- Identify and evaluate AI use cases where technology can enhance insight generation, decision support, operational efficiency, or client service.
- Balance innovation with prudence, ensuring initiatives align with firm strategy, risk appetite, and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain appropriate usage metrics for adoption, inclusive of spend financials to maintain appropriate value metrics.
- Translate complex business needs into clear product requirements and prioritize delivery based on impact and feasibility.
- Possess a deep understanding of the AI landscape and its applications in financial services.
- Partner closely with AI, Data, and other technology teams to guide model development, integration, and deployment.
- Serve as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across the firm, providing clear communication on objectives, progress, and tradeoffs.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept and proof-of-value through production launch and continuous enhancement.
- Synthesize technical and quantitative concepts into well-reasoned recommendations for executive audiences.
Requirements
- Eight or more years' experience in a technical product management role, meaning you were business-facing but technical enough to collaborate and partner with engineering teams to deploy product.
- Direct experience working with AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics-driven solutions in a highly regulated environment (financial services strongly preferred).
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for the art of the possible balanced with grounded rigor.
- Tried and tested successful methodologies that ensure timely, consistent, and prioritized deliverables.
- Outstanding ability to communicate value, progress, and business impact.
- Prior experience working closely with investment professionals, bankers, or senior advisory teams strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, engineering, quantitative field.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is approximately $180,000 - $225,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and relevant skills for the role.
