AI Platform Technical Lead

For our client, a leader in the Information Technology space, we are seeking an AI Platform Technical Lead to join their team. This role focuses on the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery, working across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.

About the role

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Value Stream Product Owners and provide technical guidance on AI agent design
• Translate business requirements into actionable agent specifications for engineering
• Ensure value stream POs understand current and future platform capabilities
• Set technical standards for building and governing AI agents across teams
• Act as lead architect for a growing team of engineers focused on API and agent architecture
• Represent the technical platform in Steering Committee discussions and cross-functional planning
• Mentor and upskill practitioners in AI development across the organization
• Assess vendor capabilities and produce platform recommendations efficiently

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with LLM APIs and enterprise AI adoption efforts
• Hands-on AI fluency with prompt building and AI workflow integration
• Experience in agentic workflow design within an enterprise setting
• Knowledge of MCP server architecture and governance
• Familiar with multiple enterprise AI platforms including Claude Enterprise and IBM Watson Orchestrate
• Strong communication skills for technical and executive audiences
• Experience with AI governance and compliance in enterprise contexts
• Consulting background in implementing enterprise-scale AI solutions

Pay

$117,200 – $157,500 annually
