AI Platform Engineer – Azure | DevOps | AI Development LOCATION: Lincolnshire, IL (Hybrid – 4 days onsite) PAY: Target pay for this role is between $80 and $100 per hour but may vary based on experience. ENGAGEMENT TYPE: Contract DURATION: 12 Months with possible extension What You’ll Be Doing This is a Senior AI Platform Engineer. You'll partner directly with business stakeholders to transform business ideas into production-ready applications using modern AI-assisted development tools. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll own the entire application lifecycle -from AI-assisted development through security review, DevOps processes, cloud deployment, and enterprise integration. You'll leverage AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Codex to accelerate development while ensuring applications meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, and maintainability. You'll also connect AI-generated applications to enterprise APIs, backend systems, and cloud environments while helping modernize the organization's AI development platform. Who We’re Looking For Extensive experience in DevOps engineering and cloud platform operations Strong Azure experience (preferred), with GCP experience also valued Experience taking applications from concept through production deployment Experience integrating applications with enterprise APIs and backend systems Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar platforms Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud engineering Experience building or deploying AI agents Strong software engineering background (candidates who began their careers as developers are highly preferred) Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition of employment.
