AI Native Engineer

Overview Job Title: AI Native Engineer Location: Remote Job Type: Independent Contract (Contractor / Non-Employee) Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: $70-100/hr 1099 / C2C Contract Length: 6-8 Months - Renewable AI Native Engineer (Context Engineer / Harness Engineer) A hands-on builder who implements features, agents, skills, and MCP integrations using Claude Code, working within an architecture defined by senior and principal engineers. Responsibilities Builds and maintains harness components (retrieval, tool invocation, evaluation, observability) under review, and contributes improvements back to the shared base harness. Works through architecture- and systems-level problems under senior review as the path to progression. Qualifications Tech: Claude Code, React / TypeScript / JavaScript / Node.js front end, Python and backend data engineering, AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions, API Gateway, Bedrock), Terraform, Playwright, Azure DevOps. Professional English fluency, written and verbal. AI-enabled and hands-on with Claude Code (or comparable agentic tooling). Timezone overlap of at least 5 hours with PST working hours (8am–6pm PST). Hands-on AWS delivery is required for the engineering roles Pay Range USD $70.00 - USD $100.00 /Hr.
