AI/ML - Technology & Cybersecurity Risk Management - Vice President

About the role

As part of Risk Management and Compliance, you are at the center of keeping JPMorganChase strong and resilient. You help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers and communities. You will lead oversight of large, complex programs and AI and machine learning systems across the firm, evaluating technology and cybersecurity practices, identifying operational risk and threat exposures, and providing credible challenge to first-line risk mitigation strategies. You partner with technology, risk, and functional stakeholders to strengthen controls and reduce the likelihood of disruption, compliance issues, or security events, driving resilient, responsible adoption of AI and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational risk for the engineering organization developing platforms for AI and machine learning and data serving
• Lead thematic analysis of existing risks and internal and external events related to AI and machine learning
• Challenge first-line technology and cyber risk mitigation strategies and execution for AI and machine learning use cases
• Assess operational and cyber risk of AI and machine learning use for technology and cybersecurity purposes
• Collaborate with operational risk officers across corporate functions to align on AI and machine learning risk oversight activities

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in a technology role
• Strong background in AI and machine learning and the technology used to build AI and machine learning solutions
• Strong understanding of technology and cyber assessment practices for technology systems
• Strong understanding of the technology and cyber threat landscape for AI and machine learning and associated mitigations
• Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals

Pay

Competitive total rewards package including base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location. Eligible roles may receive commission-based pay and/or discretionary incentive compensation, paid in the form of cash and/or forfeitable equity, awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions.
