About the role
Halvik Corp delivers a wide range of services to 13 executive agencies and 15 independent agencies. Halvik is a highly successful WOB business with more than 50 prime contracts and 500+ professionals delivering Digital Services, Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Cyber Security and Cutting-Edge Technology across the US Government.
Halvik is seeking a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support an emerging technology program focused on bridging technical Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) capabilities with strategic mission outcomes, governance, security, and advanced development.
Responsibilities
- Support the crafting and execution of innovative AI/ML strategies to guide technology solutions and set standards for excellence.
- Lead high-impact AI/ML projects from conception to completion, ensuring seamless project planning and successful execution.
- Define and evaluate AI, ML, data system, and software requirements for technical feasibility, functional adequacy, and alignment with organizational needs and goals.
- Collaborate with project team, and government stakeholders, to solve critical business and operational challenges and establish, enforce, and maintain data and AI/ML standards across the enterprise.
- Create comprehensive AI/ML documentation that meets government review and approval standards.
- Serve as the go-to expert for AI/ML-related inquiries, providing guidance and mentorship to other team members.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, ideally within a Federal environment. (Can substitute experience with education: MA/MS degree or higher and 8 years of experience OR 14 years of experience.)
- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical aptitude, and proficiency with enterprise operating systems, cloud stacks (e.g., AWS, Azure) and AI/ML software tools and technologies.
- Proven experience with generative AI models and techniques.
- Compliance: Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Certifications: While not mandatory, possession will have more weight in consideration (e.g., CISSP, as well as CCSP, CISM, or a relevant GIAC certification strongly preferred).
Preferred Expertise
- Demonstrated success supporting Federal contracts.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and enterprise IT service management practices.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical content into terms suitable for executive and government stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
