Job Description
The Associate Staff - AI/ML Group within the Integrated Missile Defense Technology Group supports the U.S. Armed Services and the Missile Defense Agency in developing, testing, and improving defense systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying critical needs by analyzing emerging missile and drone threats.
- Developing solutions through the creation of new technologies, system designs, and algorithms.
- Prototyping and testing advanced defense capabilities at various scales.
- Deploying new technologies into operational systems to defend against actual threats.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Autonomy, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aero/Astro, or a related field.
- Recent graduates may qualify with a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $116,400 - $140,000 for recent graduates and $116,400 - $182,200 for experienced candidates. Final salary offers are based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
