About The Role
Vanguard is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Engineer to join its dynamic AI research team within the Enterprise AI and Research (EAiR) division. This pivotal role involves leading advanced research initiatives in artificial intelligence, focusing on areas such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Cognitive AI architectures. The successful candidate will work on developing transformative AI solutions that have the potential to revolutionize Vanguard’s products and services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers, and product managers, to translate research breakthroughs into scalable, real-world applications. Additionally, this role offers opportunities to publish in top-tier AI conferences and journals, contribute to strategic AI partnerships, and mentor junior researchers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Post Doctorate, PhD, or Master’s) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in AI research and development.
- Deep expertise in cutting-edge AI topics such as multi-agent systems, generative models, or cognitive architectures.
- Strong understanding of Responsible AI principles and frameworks, ensuring ethical and safe AI deployment.
- Proven publication record in top-tier conferences and journals, with a high H-index being a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pioneering research in AI domains, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Cognitive AI architectures, to develop innovative algorithms, models, and techniques that advance the field.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to transition research findings into scalable, production-ready solutions, developing prototypes and proof-of-concept systems that address real-world business challenges.
- Publish research outcomes in top-tier AI conferences and journals such as NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, and ACL, and present findings at industry conferences, workshops, and internal forums to promote knowledge sharing and thought leadership.
- Mentor junior scientists and engineers, providing guidance on research methodologies, publication strategies, and technical development to foster a high-performance research environment.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align research initiatives with strategic business objectives, ensuring that AI solutions are both innovative and practical for deployment.
- Ensure all research and AI solutions adhere to responsible AI principles, prioritizing safety, fairness, and transparency in all applications.
