Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, AI/ML or related field
  • Proficiency in Python and foundational machine learning concepts, with the ability to independently develop, train, and evaluate models
  • Experience in developing, training, and deploying deep learning models using machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and performance validation of AI models
  • Understanding of agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)

Job Description

The Aero Operations AI Team at Lockheed Martin Aerospace is seeking a senior data scientist analyst who will play a key role in developing, deploying, and maintaining AI-based solutions tailored for production operations. This position focuses on applying advanced artificial intelligence techniques to solve complex operational challenges, delivering impactful results that enhance efficiency and drive productivity. This position will be responsible for overseeing development and deployment of AI solutions in the domain of computer vision.

Desired Skills

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, AI/ML or related field
  • Familiarity with Computer Vision (CV) models, Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI (GenAI)
  • Familiarity with GenAI Coding Assistants
  • Experience with agentic AI frameworks
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data catalog tools
  • Experience with aircraft manufacturing processes
  • Strong organization and communication skills
