Karumi is a Y Combinator (F25) startup building the "Waymo of personalized demos" by deploying AI agents that join video calls and navigate software in real-time. Founded by experts from IBM Research and StackAI, the 7-person team is scaling an agentic platform that eliminates demo wait times for global B2B SaaS customers.

About the role

You will architect the core intelligence behind Karumi’s autonomous demo agents, bridging voice AI, browser automation, and LLMs. By designing real-time systems that listen, speak, and interact with web applications, you’ll directly impact how companies engage prospects. This role focuses on shipping production-grade agentic workflows that solve complex multimodal challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize low-latency voice AI pipelines using STT/TTS models like Whisper and ElevenLabs for natural, real-time conversation.
  • Design autonomous browser agents using Playwright and computer vision to navigate, understand, and interact with diverse web application interfaces.
  • Engineer sophisticated LLM workflows and evaluation frameworks to ensure consistent, intelligent agent behavior across complex, multi-step sales demonstrations.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping production-grade AI features or autonomous agents at early-stage startups.
  • Deep expertise in Python, async programming, and modern AI stacks including OpenAI/Anthropic models, agent frameworks, and retrieval systems.
  • Hands-on experience with browser automation tools like Playwright or Selenium and real-time audio streaming architectures for voice-based interactions.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Join a YC F25 startup led by repeat founders from IBM Research and StackAI, already delivering thousands of demos to paying B2B customers.
  • Work on a unique "Waymo-style" AI challenge involving real-time voice synthesis, computer vision for UI navigation, and complex LLM orchestration.
  • Enjoy significant ownership and up to 1% equity as one of the first ten employees in a high-velocity engineering culture.
