What You’ll Do
As an AI Advisor, you will work within practice groups to develop AI solutions that enhance legal workflows. You will own the entire workflow development process, collaborating with engineers and creating a scalable playbook of best practices. Additionally, you may support client-facing projects, working with practice teams to deliver AI-enhanced legal services directly to clients. You will also promote responsible AI adoption, ensuring attorneys understand the capabilities and limitations of generative AI.
Practice Group Engagement
- Act as a credible advisor on AI workflow and integration strategy
- Guide attorneys on leveraging AI to improve their practices
- Document current workflows and identify opportunities for AI integration
- Partner with practice teams to deliver AI-assisted legal services to clients
- Champion responsible AI adoption by educating attorneys on the technology's capabilities and limitations
Workflow Development & Testing
- Decompose complex legal tasks and design prompts for AI systems
- Create and execute sing protocols, including prompt engineering and iterative refinement
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure workflows are technically sound and aligned with firm standards
- Build structured decision logs to track workflow requirements, prompt logic, validation criteria, and failure modes
Playbook & Training
- Contribute to a scalable AI workflow playbook
- Provide recommendations on AI tools and capabilities
- Design and deliver attorney training programs, including demonstrations, user guides, and feedback mechanisms
- Track and report on project status, adoption metrics, and outcomes
What You’ll Bring
- A J.D. from an accredited law school is preferred, but candidates with five or more years of experience leading innovation initiatives, driving technology adoption, or overseeing AI implementation at a large law firm or legal technology company will also be considered
- Experience operating in a billable, client-service environment, with an understanding of the pace, quality expectations, and confidentiality requirements associated with delivering work product directly to clients
- Strong aptitude for process improvement and legal technology, including hands-on experience with legal AI platforms like Harvey, Legora, CoCounsel, Lexis+ AI, or similar tools
- Ability to collaborate with attorneys and leadership at all levels, establishing credibility and influencing decisions in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Excellent writing, project management, and organizational skills, with sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
- Collaborative and adaptable team player with a client-focused, solutions-oriented mindset
Compensation
- Base salary range varies by location, ranging from $153,000 to $220,000 in Chicago, $153,000 to $211,000 in New York, $153,000 to $211,000 in Los Angeles, $153,000 to $211,000 in Washington D.C., and $153,000 to $220,000 in the Bay Area.
