Role Overview

As a Research Scientist in Artificial Intelligence, you will play a pivotal role in leading cutting-edge projects and solving complex analytical problems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead AI Projects: Engage in deep learning, reinforcement learning, lifelong learning, and other AI/ML areas, developing and applying AI techniques to solve intricate analytical problems.

  • Develop and Prove Algorithms: Create and rigorously test algorithms, demonstrating their effectiveness through successful experiments and evaluating their impact on user experiences.

  • Embed Research in Systems: Integrate research algorithms into practical systems, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated and effectively applied.

  • Communicate Research: Publish findings in top-tier conferences and journals like NIPS, CVPR, ICML, and ICLR, effectively communicating complex research to technical audiences.

  • Leverage AI Frameworks: Utilize frameworks such as Tensorflow, Caffe, PyTorch, or Theano to develop and implement AI solutions.

Preferred Education and Technical Expertise

  • Master's Degree Required: A strong foundation in AI/ML is essential.

  • Deep Expertise in AI/ML Areas: Specialization in deep learning, reinforcement learning, lifelong learning, transfer learning, few-shot learning, interpretable and adversarial learning, learning with memories, KRR, symbolic and trainable logic, causal inference, computer vision, speech, NLP, brain-inspired algorithms, and neuromorphic architectures.

  • Experience with Algorithm Development: Proven track record of developing and proving mathematical properties of algorithms, conducting experiments, and evaluating their impact.

  • Proficiency in AI Frameworks: Skilled in utilizing frameworks like Tensorflow, Caffe, PyTorch, or Theano to develop and implement AI solutions.

  • Research Communication: Experience with publishing in top-tier journals and conferences, such as NIPS, CVPR, ICML, and ICLR.

  • System Integration: Ability to embed research algorithms into usable systems, ensuring seamless integration and effective application.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Advanced AI Framework Knowledge: Proficiency in multiple AI frameworks, including Tensorflow, Caffe, PyTorch, or Theano, with the ability to leverage these tools to develop and implement innovative AI solutions.

  • Publishing in Prestigious Journals: Experience publishing in top-tier journals beyond the required outlets, such as NIPS, CVPR, ICML, and ICLR.

  • Interdisciplinary AI Expertise: Deep expertise in multiple AI/ML areas, enabling the development of novel AI techniques and solutions that integrate concepts from diverse fields, such as computer vision, speech, NLP, and brain-inspired algorithms.
