AI Engineer, Sr. - USA | Remote

About the Role

NLP PEOPLE is seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer to focus on machine learning, AI application development, and model development. This remote role is based in St. Louis, Missouri, and is intended for a senior-level professional with more than 5 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will design, develop, and deploy AI applications and data pipelines while applying modern machine learning and Generative AI techniques. This role is suited to an engineer who can contribute across the AI development lifecycle and help build practical, scalable AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI applications using machine learning technologies.
• Develop and improve machine learning models for AI-powered applications.
• Deploy AI applications and machine learning solutions into production environments.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines supporting AI and ML workloads.
• Apply Generative AI techniques to AI application and model development.
• Translate technical and business requirements into practical AI solutions.
• Evaluate and improve AI models and application performance.
• Collaborate with technical teams on AI, machine learning, and data-related initiatives.
• Contribute to scalable and reliable AI application development.
• Support the end-to-end development lifecycle from model development through deployment.

Required Qualifications

• More than 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Senior-level experience in AI engineering, machine learning, or related technical fields.
• Experience designing and developing AI applications.
• Experience with machine learning and model development.
• Experience developing and deploying AI solutions.
• Experience designing or working with data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Generative AI techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Experience applying Generative AI to production AI applications.
