AI Engineer, Research and Technical Writing

About the role

ScaledOps is building an AI operator that runs projects end to end: gathering context, planning, and coordinating, then bringing in humans where judgment and expertise are needed. We're starting with content marketing. We're looking for software and AI engineers to research technical topics for our clients and help turn that work into technical content. You'll go deep on technical questions, figure out how things actually work, and produce original research that can become strong technical content.

What you'll do

• Research technical questions using code, papers, documentation, products, and primary sources
• Run experiments, evals, and benchmarks
• Build small prototypes when they help answer a question
• Test AI models, tools, and technical claims firsthand
• Document your findings to turn them into technical content

What we're looking for

• Background in software engineering, AI/ML, computer science, or a related field
• Comfortable writing code and working with unfamiliar tools and systems
• Strong research instincts and a tendency to test things yourself
• Projects you can show us, including open source work, prototypes, research, evals, experiments, or technical writing
• Able to explain technical work in writing

Professional writing experience is not required.
