About the role
Secure Engage is building a category-defining AI platform for cybersecurity and compliance. We’re looking for two AI Engineers (1 Senior, 1 Junior) to join our forward-deployed engineering team—working directly with customers, product, and internal stakeholders to bring powerful AI workflows to life. These roles are ideal for engineers who want to work on meaningful, real-world applications of AI in a high-trust domain, where performance, transparency, and reliability matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AI-powered tools and workflows for compliance assessments, evidence mapping, risk flagging, and reporting
- Work with customers and internal teams to deploy and adapt AI solutions to specific use cases (e.g., OSFI B-10, OCC, SOC2)
- Integrate large language model APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral) with structured data and proprietary workflows
- Collaborate with QA and Product to test model outputs, build redaction pipelines, and enable human-in-the-loop review
- Assist in the development of fine-tuning strategies, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and performance monitoring
- Communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders and provide training where needed
Senior Role – Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with 2+ years in applied AI/ML (preferably LLMs)
- Strong proficiency in Python, APIs, and ML libraries (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI SDK, Hugging Face)
- Experience deploying LLMs into production or compliance-sensitive environments
- Solid understanding of prompt design, vector databases, document parsing, and privacy constraints
- Experience working in fast-paced startups, especially in regulated or enterprise domains
- Strong problem-solving, architectural thinking, and documentation skills
Junior Role – Required Skills & Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in software development or AI/ML research (internships and academic projects acceptable)
- Exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, or ML tooling (e.g., OpenAI, Pinecone, Haystack, LangChain)
- Strong curiosity and willingness to learn about cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise workflows
- Comfortable writing Python scripts and working with APIs and structured data
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; coachable and hungry to grow
