AI Engineer
About the Role
As an AI Engineer within our Internal Firm Services practice, you will apply data, algorithms, and software engineering to build and deploy software and platform systems that create Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning-based solutions at scale. Your work will involve designing AI systems, data wrangling, and software implementation to enable AI models to be useful and scalable. As an Associate, you will focus on learning and contributing to projects while developing your skills and knowledge to deliver quality work. You will engage with stakeholders to build connections, learn to manage and inspire others, and grow your personal brand by deepening your technical expertise. In complex situations, you will anticipate team and stakeholder needs, embrace ambiguity, and use challenges as growth opportunities. Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI systems to transform raw data into actionable insights
- Develop scalable machine learning models using Python and TensorFlow
- Integrate data from various sources to create unified views for analysis
- Build and maintain data pipelines to support AI model deployment
- Apply complex data analysis techniques to discern patterns and trends
- Collaborate with team members to enhance AI solutions and drive business growth
- Utilize natural language processing tools like NLTK for text analytics and sentiment analysis
- Implement neural networks and deep learning methods for advanced AI applications
- Manage data quality and infrastructure to support reliable AI operations
- Engage in continuous learning to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in AI engineering
Requirements
- At least a Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a degree, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in Engineering with AI and Machine Learning for each missing year of college
- At least 1 year of experience in AI and Machine Learning
- Degree in one of the following fields: Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Management, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology
Skills
- Certifications in data engineering, machine learning, or cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or related credentials)
- Building and orchestrating AI agent workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph
- Applying generative AI techniques, including prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, and fine-tuning
- Developing automated evaluation frameworks, including LLM-as-judge pipelines and regression testing
- Optimizing open-weight language models (e.g., LLaMA, Mistral, Gemma) for deployment using quantization and inference acceleration
- Designing agent harnesses with context engineering, memory management, and structured output validation
- Proficiency in Python and TensorFlow for AI projects
- Utilizing machine learning libraries like Scikit-Learn for data analysis
- Implementing AI solutions using open-source software
- Applying natural language processing techniques in real-world applications
Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,500 - $112,500. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
