AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled services and agent based workflows
• Build and maintain API-driven backend services supporting AI powered applications
• Contribute to frontend components and user interfaces supporting AI workflows
• Implement multi-step AI workflows with tool usage, data retrieval, and external system integrations
• Integrate AI systems with enterprise data platforms and business systems
• Develop and maintain observability, logging, and monitoring for AI services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and governance requirements
• Participate in architectural reviews and contribute to platform standards and best practices

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Required: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Required: Experience building and operating backend APIs and services
• Required: Hands on experience with MCPs and AI workflows
• Required: Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
• Required: Proficiency with SQL and relational database design
• Required: Experience deploying and operating cloud-native applications in production environments

Preferred

• Prompt engineering experience
• Familiarity with Claude Agent SDK, Anthropic tools, or similar agent frameworks
• Experience with AI observability/tracing tools (e.g., LangFuse)
• Experience using Node.js ORMs such as Prisma or Drizzle
• Experience building APIs with Express, Fastify, or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with React and modern frontend practices
• Experience using Shadcn UI or similar component libraries
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Azure Container Apps, Docker, containerized services, Vercel Sandboxes or similar Orchestration
• Experience with Azure Functions Durable Task Scheduler, Vercel Workflows or equivalents
• Experience with AI-assisted IDEs and Git-based workflows
