AI Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with stakeholders to understand workflows; facilitate discovery sessions; analyze processes for automation opportunities; translate business requirements into technical AI solutions; present recommendations to leadership.
• Design enterprise AI solutions using LLMs; build Generative AI applications; develop AI agents and agentic workflows; create RAG solutions with vector databases; design APIs and integrations.
• Deploy autonomous/semi-autonomous AI agents; design multi-agent orchestration; develop prompt engineering and context management; implement evaluation frameworks for accuracy, latency, and performance; establish AI guardrails and responsible AI practices.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, security, and data teams; contribute to long-term AI roadmap; support AI governance, security, and compliance; drive AI adoption and change management.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, solution architecture, consulting, or related roles.
• Experience gathering business requirements and working directly with stakeholders.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise technology solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI solutions.
• Strong programming experience with Python.
• Experience with: LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Agentic AI, RAG Architectures, Vector Databases, APIs and Enterprise Integrations.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare industry experience.
• Experience with Epic or other EHR platforms.
• Understanding of HIPAA, PHI, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Experience with: LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Experience supporting AI governance and responsible AI initiatives.
• Experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers.
