Overview
As an entry-level role, the AI Developer's role is to develop and enhance in-house software applications or extensions by coding with a technical language to meet business requirements and objectives. This includes taking technical specifications and developing applications or integrations of data between applications, testing, and completing appropriate technical documentation. The developer may also deliver support to end users for specific code, including troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and support software applications
- Drive technical validity of solution
- Develop user documentation as well as in-code documentation to explain designs and participate/support user training
- Obtain certifications needed to effectively support applications in scope
- Support the development of business and technical process documentation and training materials
- Structure requirements to facilitate automation of acceptance tests
- Provide support for software applications under area of responsibility
- Participate in Agile teams
- Drive Behavior-Driven-Design (BDD) process
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 2+ years' relevant work experience in an analytical capacity, or equivalent experience
- Foundational experience with Databricks-based AI or agent development
- Python programming skills
- Exposure to LLMs, RAG, and multi-step AI workflows
- Basic understanding of Databricks AI/ML capabilities
- Ability to integrate data, APIs, and enterprise systems into AI solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to CI/CD and deployment practices
- Familiarity with supply chain or SAP-related business processes
- Understanding of AI evaluation and response quality checks
