AI Data Engineering Lead (contract)

Job Summary

Lead GenAI driven data engineering initiatives leveraging GCP BigQuery and Teradata to enable advanced analytics and AI use cases.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize data pipelines, feature stores, and data foundations required for GenAI and LLM based solutions.
• Drive integration and modernization of Teradata data platforms with cloud-based analytics on GCP.
• Partner with data scientists and AI teams to enable high quality, governed data for model training and inference.
• Ensure scalability, performance, security, and cost optimization across data and AI pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on GenAI, data architecture, and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience with GCP BigQuery and Teradata.
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices.
• Proven ability to design and optimize data pipelines and feature stores.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics and integration with on-premises data platforms.
• Excellent collaboration skills with data scientists and AI teams.
• Technical leadership and mentoring experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, preferably in a GenAI or LLM context.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and data modeling tools.
• Experience with data governance and compliance standards.

Pay

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $49.83/hour - $77.86/hour.
