Strategic Initiatives
- Build the data foundation

- Identify and spread AI use cases across engineering teams
Data Foundation
- Bring data from various sources into an analytics-ready state
- Create pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and analytics platforms
- Build gold-layer, summarized datasets
Design Dimensional Models
- Create star/snowflake schemas
- Make partitioning and grain decisions
AI Enablement
- Build AI agents that detect anomalies and surface critical issues
- Ship AI productivity tools that help teams ship faster and operate more reliably
- Own the full lifecycle of LLM features
Domain Expertise
- E-commerce or a comparable operational domain
- Understanding of funnel metrics, subscription flows, payment processing

Requirements
- Experience 8+ years in application development
- Hands-on production data engineering
- Expert Spark / PySpark
- Performance tuning, Spark SQL, partitioning and shuffle handling at billion-row scale
- Expert SQL at scale and strong Python
- Data modeling for analysis
- Modern lakehouse platforms, with Databricks depth strongly preferred
- Real-time and event-driven processing
- Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered applications
- At least one AI agent you personally built and can walk through in detail
- Daily use of AI coding assistants to ship real work faster
- Efficiency-driven impact
- Reducing toil and accelerating incident response
- Strong cross-functional partnership across Product, SRE, Security, and Architecture
