AI Data Architect

Lincolnshire, IL (Onsite Hybrid - 3 days/week) Contract Job Description 8+ years of experience in data architecture and data engineering within enterprise environments.Strong hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms, including Snowflake and/or Google BigQuery.Design and implement scalable, high-performance enterprise data architectures and data platforms.Experience architecting and implementing enterprise data lakes and lakehouse solutions.Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.Experience designing AI and Generative AI architectures for enterprise use cases.Hands-on understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and implementation patterns.Experience with vector databases, vector search, embeddings, and semantic retrieval technologies.Strong SQL skills for data analysis, transformation, modeling, and complex data processing.Strong Python development skills for data engineering, automation, and AI/GenAI solutions.Ability to integrate data engineering, AI/GenAI, governance, and enterprise architecture into scalable solutions.Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to senior business and technology stakeholders.
