AI Data Architect

Lincolnshire, IL (Onsite Hybrid - 3 days/week) Contract

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance enterprise data architectures and data platforms.
• Architect and implement enterprise data lakes and lakehouse solutions.
• Design AI and Generative AI architectures for enterprise use cases.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and patterns.
• Develop solutions integrating data engineering, AI/GenAI, governance, and enterprise architecture.
• Perform data analysis, transformation, modeling, and complex data processing using SQL.
• Develop data engineering, automation, and AI/GenAI solutions using Python.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to senior business and technology stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture and data engineering within enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms, including Snowflake and/or Google BigQuery.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Experience with vector databases, vector search, embeddings, and semantic retrieval technologies.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, transformation, modeling, and complex data processing.
• Strong Python development skills for data engineering, automation, and AI/GenAI solutions.
• Ability to integrate data engineering, AI/GenAI, governance, and enterprise architecture into scalable solutions.
• Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
