AI Data Analyst, Journeyman

About the role
This position supports a Marine Corps Program Office as an AI Data Analyst, providing Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) support to the Headquarters Marine Corps Installations & Logistics (HQMC I&L) Global Positioning Network Program Office (GPN PO). The AI Data Analyst performs data preparation, scripting, query automation, and model execution in support of prepositioning and global logistics analysis, working under the direction of the Senior AI Data Analyst. This position is contingent upon award.
Location: Remote / Contractor Facility (Core Hours: 0700–1700 EST). Anticipated start date: September 30, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Perform data preparation, cleaning, and validation to produce reliable inputs for models, simulations, and analytical products.
- Write and maintain scripts in Python, R, or SQL to automate data extraction, transformation, and recurring queries.
- Execute routine model and simulation runs, document results, and flag anomalies for Senior Analyst review.
- Build data pipelines and transform raw data from multiple sources into usable metrics and data sets.
- Produce data visualizations and dashboard content that communicate analytical results clearly.
- Support development and refinement of predictive models and AI/ML workflows under Senior Analyst direction.
- Maintain documentation of data sources, scripts, and analytical processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Four or more years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL, and basic data visualization tools.
- Active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one (must be maintained for the duration of the contract).
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) or ML model development.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks) and data pipeline development.
- Familiarity with DoD or Marine Corps data systems and logistics data.

Pay
United States of America: $100,000 - $120,000 USD. Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
