AI Business Transformation Lead

About the role

Vernovis is partnering with a global manufacturing organization seeking a Supply Chain AI Transformation Lead for an immediate 3–4 month contract engagement. This individual will work closely with Global Supply Chain leadership and technical AI/Data teams to identify high-value opportunities, launch AI-enabled initiatives, and drive measurable improvements across supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Global Supply Chain leaders to understand workflows, operational challenges, KPIs, and business priorities.
• Identify and prioritize AI use cases focused on inventory, working capital, cost reduction, cycle-time improvement, and service levels.
• Translate Supply Chain business challenges into clearly defined AI and data initiatives for technical teams.
• Lead use-case discovery, business case development, pilot execution, and ROI measurement.
• Drive adoption and change management across Supply Chain teams, ensuring new AI-enabled solutions are embedded into day-to-day workflows.
• Partner with AI, data engineering, IT, and external consulting teams to coordinate data preparation, integrations, and solution delivery.
• Track measurable business and EBITDA outcomes associated with Supply Chain AI initiatives.
• Help deliver initial AI pilots within 60–90 days while building sustainable internal capabilities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or business transformation within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of Supply Chain workflows, KPIs, inventory, working capital, and operational performance.
• Experience leading digital transformation, analytics, AI, or technology-enabled Supply Chain initiatives.
• Proven ability to deliver measurable business outcomes related to cost reduction, margin, working capital, cycle time, or service levels.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, generative AI, and modern data platforms.
• Nice to have: Experience working with system integrators or consulting partners and transitioning capabilities in-house.
• Nice to have: Experience within capital equipment, plastics processing, aftermarket service, or industrial manufacturing.
