AI, AWS DevOps, Java/Python Software Engineer III
Job Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS
Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Develops and maintains infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration management
Implements logging and tracing using ELK Stack, Splunk, Dynatrace, and AWS CloudWatch
Collaborates with development teams to troubleshoot and ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications
Implements and manages CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle
Ensures disaster recovery strategies are in place using multi-region deployments, backups, and failover mechanisms
Evaluates (Continuously) and implements modern technologies and tools to improve operational efficiency
Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering and/or DevOps
- Experience in Java, Spring Boot or scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, and Python
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation)
- Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices
- Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, EKS, ECS Fargate, VPC, IAM, and networking Atlas 2.0
- Proven track record of building and managing continual automation deployment delivery environments
- Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and (ECS) for container orchestration
- Proven track record designing and implementing comprehensive observability solutions (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting) and automating complex CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar platforms
- Experience with security best practices in cloud environments
