AHMG Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery at Winter Park APRN or PA-C

Responsibilities

• Performs physical examinations of surgical patients including, but not limited to: new patient visits, established/follow-up visits, pre & post-operative care.
• Assists in managing and closing complex lacerations, wound care/dressing changes, debridement, suture removal, etc.
• Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, other related imaging.
• Maintains monitoring of the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referrals to either a physician or specialist, as needed.
• Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.
• Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth.
• Evaluates cardiac, renal, vascular, dermatologic, and GI systems, particularly as they relate to body edema.
• Interest in lymphatic care – training will be provided.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
• Surgical experience (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience practicing as an APRN or PA-C in plastic surgery.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong medical decision-making skills.

Education & Experience

• Required: Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
• Preferred: Surgical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience practicing as an APRN or PA-C in plastic surgery.

License, Certification, Registration

• Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license.
• Current, valid DEA license.
• Certification by NCCPA, ANCC or other nationally recognized certification organization.
• BLS & ACLS.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $XX.XX - $XXXX.XX per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm out-patient.

Main location: AdventHealth Winter Park.
