AHMG Medical Director Inpatient Based Opportunity at East Orlando

Job Summary

AdventHealth East Orlando is seeking a dynamic, hardworking board-certified Family or Internal Medicine trained physician to serve as a Medical Director. The ideal candidate should possess at least two years of clinical experience and leadership experience in areas such as medical staff leadership, department leadership, or quality and safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Create excellence in quality, safety, patient experience, best practices, and productivity within the Internal Medicine group.
• Support the recruitment of physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Develop and support the Monument Health onboarding process.
• Promote and mentor physician leadership within the team.
• Work with the Executive Medical Director to set the goals and objectives of the internal medicine department.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (ABMS).

Qualifications

• Minimum two years clinical experience.
• Leadership experience in areas such as medical staff leadership, department leadership, or quality and safety leadership is preferred.

Skills

• Strong emphasis on evidence-based medicine with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Experience in hospitalist medicine.
• Strong communication skills.

Many of our patients come to us through our newly designed emergency department, which features 65 private patient rooms and a separate pediatric department staffed with fellowship-trained pediatric emergency physicians.
