AHMG APRN or PA Opportunities with Growing Critical Care Team - Central/West Florida

The Opportunity

This role is designed for APPs who are confident managing complex critical care patients and want to work at the top of their scope. Our APPs are deeply integrated into the ICU care model, contributing to clinical decision-making, procedural excellence, quality initiatives, and team mentorship. You will collaborate closely with Intensivists in a closed ICU environment while maintaining a high degree of professional autonomy and accountability.

What You’ll Do

• Independently evaluate and manage critically ill ICU patients under physician supervision
• Perform comprehensive histories and focused physical exams with advanced clinical reasoning
• Order, interpret, and act on complex diagnostic and laboratory data
• Lead management of acute decompensation and initiate emergent interventions
• Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians
• Perform advanced ICU procedures, including but not limited too: Central venous and arterial line placement, advanced airway management
• Actively participate in quality improvement efforts, performance initiatives, and clinical research
• Serve as a mentor and clinical resource for nursing staff and learners as appropriate

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing with Acute Care Certification (APRN), or Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• Experience: APRN: 1–3 years of recent ICU experience, PA: 3+ years of ICU experience, or 5+ years in a surgical or critical care–adjacent specialty
• Active, unrestricted Florida APRN or PA-C license
• Acute Care Certification (APRN required)
• BLS and ACLS required
• FCCS and/or ATLS strongly preferred
