AHA/ASHI Instructor BLS/ACLS and/or PALS, DCOM-Knoxville, Tennessee

Lincoln Memorial University is seeking qualified American Heart Association (AHA) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) instructors to align with the LMU-DCOM American Heart Association Training Center in Knoxville.

About the role

Instructors will deliver assigned AHA and/or ASHI certification courses. Course assignments may include:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Heartsaver courses
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Other approved AHA or ASHI courses

Instructors are responsible for providing effective, accurate, and engaging instruction in accordance with the applicable AHA or ASHI curriculum and training standards.

Requirements

• Candidates must hold at least one current instructor certification in the following areas:
  • AHA Basic Life Support
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • ASHI Heartsaver
  • ASHI Basic Life Support

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field (preferred)
• Experience providing healthcare or emergency-response training (preferred)
• Experience teaching adult learners (preferred)
