About the role
The position is virtual and open to residents of the 50 states and Washington, D.C. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Responsibilities
- Delivers specific course content in an online environment.
- Provides instruction, support, and guidance, manages the learning process, and focuses on students’ individual needs.
- Makes student placement and promotion decisions, and alerts administrators to concerns about student performance and progress.
- Prepares students for high stakes standardized tests.
- Supports learning coaches/parents with student curricular and instructional issues and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment.
- Travels up to 20% of the time for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active state teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
- Ability to work independently and maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday
- Instructional hours fall between 9-5 EST (or 8-4) based on the needs of the schools we serve.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data, and use it to drive instructional decisions.
- Receptive to receiving coaching regularly with administrators and teacher trainers.
- Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to modern technologies and teaching platforms.
- Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.

Pay
This is a part-time hourly position up to 25 hours per week. The hourly wage is $20-25/hour up to 25 hours per week. The hourly wage is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors.
